Description

A substance designed to help the brain repair itself gives advanced intelligence to a chimpanzee who leads an ape uprising in the Rise of the Planet of the Apes DVD.

Rise of the Planet of the Apes is a gripping science fiction film released in 2011 that serves as a prequel to the iconic Planet of the Apes franchise. The film follows the story of Caesar (played by Andy Serkis), a young chimpanzee who becomes the leader of an uprising of genetically-enhanced apes against humans.

The film centers around Will Rodman (played by James Franco), a scientist working on a revolutionary drug to cure Alzheimer's disease. Will tests the drug on chimpanzees, including Caesar, who shows remarkable cognitive abilities and begins to develop human-like intelligence. However, as Caesar grows older and stronger, he becomes aware of his captivity and mistreatment, leading him to rebel against his human captors and seek his own freedom.

As Caesar escapes from confinement, he gathers a group of apes and begins to lead them in a fight for their rights and freedom. Along the way, Caesar encounters other apes who have been subjected to similar experiments and mistreatment, as well as sympathetic humans who support their cause, including primatologist Caroline Aranha (played by Freida Pinto) and sanctuary owner John Landon (played by Brian Cox).

However, as the conflict between apes and humans escalates, it becomes clear that the fate of both species hangs in the balance. Will and his team, along with Caesar, must navigate the ethical and moral complexities of their actions, and ultimately face the consequences of their choices...
